Meet Our DoctorsArizona Eye Consultants has been offering comprehensive eye care to the Tucson Area since 2001. The practice was founded by Dr. McCafferty and began as one office near St Mary’s Hospital. We have expanded to 5 offices and 12 providers and include multiple specialties such as glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, pediatrics and optometry. In addition, we will see patients for same-day emergencies.
When choosing a practice, you deserve experienced doctors, advanced technology and a center with a focus on personal patient care. It is our commitment to these higher standards that set us apart from the rest.
We offer comprehensive eye care for the treatment of eye diseases such as cataracts and glaucoma. Our physicians will guide you through the treatment process from the initial exam to the management of your eye care. If surgery is needed, our ophthalmologists perform the surgery themselves and continue with you throughout your care. We work closely with other specialists if we need to refer you for additional care.
Our Board Certified Ophthalmologists and Doctors of Optometry are specially trained to provide complete eye health services to both new and existing patients. Our relationship with you begins with a new patient examination; after assessing your needs, we continue to work together to maintain the health and well being of your eyes and vision.
We know it’s important to you to be able to reach your physician after business hours. Our Ophthalmologists are on call 24 hours, 7 days a week to provide emergency eye care services.
The optometrists and ophthalmologists at our centers are qualified to serve as your primary care eye doctors. Annual eye exams ensure that you keep seeing clearly and help detect any potential problems at an early stage. We are able to diagnose, manage, and treat all types of eye diseases and conditions, including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and dry eyes.
Our optometrists use highly accurate measuring devices to provide you with updated prescriptions. We also offer a variety of contact lenses and provide fittings to ensure that you find the most comfortable pair possible.
Among our services, we offer cataract diagnosis and treatment. Our doctors are highly experienced in treating cataracts. We also advise patients on intraocular lenses to restore clear vision and if they are a candidate for a speciality lens. Our new system, ORA(Optiwave Refractive Analysis) allows us to accurately measure and correct cataracts in real-time during surgery.
